Cupcakes are a perfect dessert or anytime sweet treat. And they're great food for parties and celebrations because these days, you can make a cupcake taste (and look) like just about anything..Cupcakes are given a beautiful finish when frosted with this simple icing and then decorated with sprinkles and glitter.
- 1 1/2 cups of sugar
- 1/2 unsalted butter
- 2 1/3 cups of cake flour
- 2 tbsp Dutch cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 1/2 red food color
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp distilled white vinegar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 package of cream cheese
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
1. Preheat oven to 350f
2. Beat butter and sugar in a mixer for 3mins until fluffy. Add eggs.
3. Mix all the dry ingredients.
4. Mix buttermilk, vinegar and red food color
5. Add fourth of the dry ingredients and mix, then third of the wet
6. Continue adding the dry and wet ingredients
7. Scoop into cupcake paper
8. Bake for 18-22 minutes
9. Cream the butter and cream cheese for 3mins add vanilla, add powdered sugar
