This delicious combination of pork and spicy cherry sauce is so quick and easy. The finished dish pleasingly mixes sweet, tart and sour flavors pulled together.You can use whatever chops you have on hand and it will still taste superb.
- 1kg 6pcs pork chops, ½ inch thick
- ½ cup mango juice
- ¼ cup pineapple juice
- ¼ cup orange juice
- ¼ cup cherry syrup
- ¼ cup calamansi juice
- ¼ cup catsup
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 pcs red chili, minced
- 2 sachets 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
Sauce:
- 18 pcs preserved cherries
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- ½ cup orange juice
- 1 sachet 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
1. Combine mango juice, pineapple juice, orange juice, cherry syrup, calamansi juice, catsup, sugar and chili in a container. Mix well.
2. Marinate pork for 4 hours or overnight. Drain pork chops well, set aside and reserve marinade.
3. To make the sauce, Pour reserved marinade in a sauce pan and bring to simmer.
4. Add cherries, pineapple juice and orange juice. Simmer until slightly thick. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®. Set aside.
5. Preheat a clean grill over medium heat. Season drained pork chops with 2 sachets of MAGGI MAGIC SARAP® and grill for 2-3 minutes per side.
6. Transfer into a plate to rest for 10 minutes. Transfer into a serving plate, pour sauce on top and serve.
