A classic basic dish. It doesn't get any more Filipino than this! You may replace the pork with chicken. You may also add quail eggs or potatoes.
- 1 kilo pork belly; cut into 2 inch sizes
- 1 head garlic; pounded
- 4 dried bay leaves
- ½ tbsp peppercorns
- 1 tbsp Panda Oyster Sauce
- 6 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce
- 6 tbsp vinegar
- 1 cup water
- Cooking oil
1. Marinate pork in soy sauce, garlic, peppercorns, bay leaf, water and oyster sauce for 30 mins.
2. Pour the meat with the marinade in the pan and cover. Bring to boil in medium fire until pork becomes tender.
3. Pour the vinegar and simmer until only a thick oily sauce is left.
